Privacy

Privacy, written for the way DinDin actually works.

DinDin is a subscription meal planning service. That means we store the information needed to run your account, save your planning work, process subscriptions, and protect the service. We keep the model simple: use data to make the product work, share it only with providers that help us run it, and give you practical controls.

Sharing

No selling. No partner marketing lists.

We currently do not share your information with other companies or partners for their own marketing. We use service providers only to run DinDin, facilitate email notifications, process subscriptions, deliver integrations, host data, and keep the product secure.

Stripe

Subscription checkout, billing portal, payment processing, invoices, renewals, and subscription status.

Stripe handles payment details. We do not store full card numbers.

Email delivery providers

Account verification, password or login flows, security notices, subscription notices, and product service messages.

Used to deliver messages we send for the service.

Calendar providers

Google Calendar or Apple Calendar sync/export when you enable those features.

Only used for the calendar actions you request or configure.

Infrastructure and security providers

Hosting, storage, database, logging, monitoring, and abuse prevention.

Used to operate and protect Din Din.

Storage And Security

Stored to serve the product, protected as household data.

Where data is stored

Account and planning data is stored in systems used to operate DinDin, including application databases, file or object storage for supported uploads, logs, and backups. Some providers may process data in the United States or other locations where they operate.

How we protect it

We use practical safeguards such as account authentication, access controls, secure service providers, limited internal access, monitoring, and encryption in transit where appropriate. No internet service can promise perfect security, but our posture is to reduce access and protect planning data by default.

Data Controls

You should not need support to manage ordinary account data.

Download your data

Settings includes an account export so you can keep a copy of your recipes, planning data, and account state.

Change or remove content

You can edit recipes, pantry items, grocery lists, profile details, calendar entries, and settings directly in the app.

Disconnect integrations

You can disable calendar sync in Settings. If you connected Google Calendar, you can also revoke access from your Google account.

Deactivate your account

Settings includes account deactivation. Deactivation removes application data from primary systems, subject to limited retention described below.

Retention

We keep account and planning data while your account is active so your recipes, meals, lists, and settings remain available. If you deactivate your account, we remove application data from primary systems, but some information may remain for a limited time in backups, security logs, billing records, tax records, dispute records, fraud prevention records, or other records we are legally or operationally required to keep.

AI Features

When you use AI features, we may send the request details and relevant planning context needed to generate results. This may include dietary preferences, household context, recipes, pantry context, selected dates, or instructions you enter. Avoid entering sensitive information you do not want processed for AI output.

Children

DinDin is intended for adults managing household meal planning. It is not directed to children, and children should not create accounts. Household member details you add should be limited to what you need for planning.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify account holders, such as an in-product notice or email. The updated date on this page tells you when the policy was last revised.
