1. This agreement, and how it fits with the Terms

These Cook Monetization Terms apply when you publish or sell through a DinDin cook profile. They are in addition to the Terms of Service and the Community Content Standards, which continue to apply. Where these terms and the general Terms genuinely conflict on a monetization question, these terms govern that question.

Both of those are here: the Terms of Service and the Community Content Standards, linked below.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be able to enter a binding contract, and the identity and profile information on your cook profile must be accurate. You are responsible for the security of your DinDin account and of the Stripe account connected to it.

3. How payments work

Cook subscription payments are processed through Stripe using the cook's connected payment account. DinDin provides the platform and may collect the disclosed platform fee. Additional payment, refund, dispute, tax, and payout rules may be governed by Stripe, applicable law, and the terms shown in the applicable subscription or creator flow.

In the current implementation, subscription charges are made directly on your connected Stripe account. Stripe's own processing fees are separate from DinDin's platform fee and are charged by Stripe.

4. The platform fee

DinDin keeps 10% of your paid subscription revenue — the same rate for every cook, whatever your subscriber count. Stripe's processing fees are separate.

We will tell you before the fee changes. This agreement does not fix the rate permanently.

5. Pricing your subscription

You choose your monthly price, within the range DinDin supports — currently 1.29 to 5.99 per month. Annual billing is offered at a 25% discount, which is DinDin's and applies to every cook.

6. What you may publish

A free cook profile can publish up to 100 recipes. With paid subscriptions enabled you can publish up to 250 recipes that any DinDin member can open, plus unlimited subscriber-only recipes. Reading any recipe requires a DinDin account.

You decide which of your recipes are published and who may open them. DinDin's technical ability to publish or monetize content is not approval or verification of it.

7. What you are telling us when you publish

  • You are the independent publisher responsible for the content you make public or subscriber-accessible.
  • You own the content or have permission to publish and monetize it.
  • Publishing it does not violate anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality or contractual rights.
  • Photographs and images you upload are yours or appropriately licensed.
  • You will not knowingly publish third-party imported material as your own.
  • You have reviewed any AI-assisted material before publishing it.
  • You will disclose sponsorship and affiliate relationships where disclosure is required.
  • Your commercial, health, nutrition, allergy and food-safety claims will not be materially deceptive.
  • You will not impersonate another creator, person or brand.
  • Subscriber-only content is subject to the same rules as public content.
  • You have no authority to act or make commitments on DinDin's behalf.

8. Your subscribers

Subscriber information is provided to you for the purpose of running your cook profile. Do not use it for anything else, and do not sell or transfer it. DinDin's Privacy Policy governs how DinDin handles it.

A subscriber who saved one of your recipes to their own library keeps that saved copy. Access to recipes they have not saved follows their subscription.

9. No earnings guarantee

Nothing here is a promise of subscribers, revenue or reach. Any figure shown in an earnings calculator is an illustration.

10. Moderation, demonetization and termination

DinDin may remove or restrict content, suspend monetization, or end a cook profile where these terms, the Terms of Service or the Community Content Standards are violated, or where there is legal, safety, fraud or payment risk. DinDin does not undertake to pre-screen what cooks publish.

Copyright complaints follow the Copyright and DMCA process; trademark, impersonation and likeness complaints follow the intellectual-property report process.

11. Responsibility for your content

You are responsible for claims arising from the content you publish — including infringement, privacy and publicity violations, undisclosed endorsements, commercial claims you control, unlawful content, and your own tax and business obligations — and you agree to indemnify DinDin for those claims to the extent permitted by law.

12. Matters not yet settled

Some commercial questions are not finally settled and are deliberately not stated here as fact: who is the merchant or seller of record, who bears the cost of a refund or a chargeback, how sales and marketplace taxes are allocated, income-tax reporting, payout holds and reserves, and negative balances. Where those matter today they are governed by Stripe's rules, applicable law, and the terms shown in the relevant flow.

We will update these terms when those questions are answered, and we will tell you before a change that materially affects you takes effect.

13. Changes and disputes

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will take reasonable steps to tell you, and where appropriate we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue to monetize.

These terms are subject to applicable law, including rights that cannot legally be waived.
